Step 1: Logo Consultation [ back
to top ]
The first step in the logo design process is a consultation
stage in which we work together to come up with a logo that expresses
your company's image as close as possible. This important
step sets the tone for the rest of the design process. We
examine your company's target audience, corporate image, competitors,
ideas that you have, and any other information that will help
us with designing your logo. This information can be collected
through our online order form or e-mail.
Step 2: Initial
Deposit Payment [ back
to top ]
All logo work must be paid for in full prior to beginning any
major work. If for some reason you feel we are misundertanding
your needs or cannot design your logo, we will refund whatever
money you have paid (minus a $50 non-refundable fee),
provided we have not reached completion of Step 4 of our process
and delivered a final black and white logo to you.
Step 3: Initial
Designs (Black and White) [ back
to top ]
Based upon the ideas and conclusions reached at step 1, a set
of 3-5 designs are created and sent to you via e-mail as an Adobe
Acrobat PDF file. Why do start with Black and White only version
first? Because if a design is truly good, it will be just have
effective in black and white as it will be in color. Conversely,
if a logo design is weak or unappealing, all the colors in the
world won't help it. Don't worry, we get to colors in step 4.You
can view the first set of black and white draft designs and submit
your thoughts to us. Let us know what you like about these first
draft designs, what you dislike, and what you would like to see
in the next version and we will create logo combining for favorites
elemnst from the first round choices. In the Gold Package and
Platinum Design Packages, your first draft of your logo design
will be ready just one business day after we receive
payment, otherwise for all other packages in
just 2 to 3 business days. If you are satisfied with one
of the logos, we can skip right to the step 4 and then step 5
to prepare your logo for final delivery.
Step 4: Revisions [ back
to top ]
We will continue the revision process for as many revisions
as your logo design package allows until we have created a logo
you are happy with. Most times, it only takes one or two
revisions from the first design set to wind up with a single
logo that you like. With each version of the logo we create and
each change we make, we will attempt to work closer each time
to find exactly what you are looking for . Depending on your
input and clarity from the beginning, how quickly you response
to our emails and how much you like our initial designs, your
logo could be completed in less than a week!
Step 5: Color
Designs [ back
to top ]
Based upon your final selected black and white logo design in
step 3, we will send you one final set of design using different
color combinations. We all have a color that is our personal
favorite However, our personal tastes in color may not be best
for a particular logo. Color is used to portray mood, emotion
, image and overall attitude. For example, you might wish to
shy way from bright pastel colors if you are designing a logo
for a funeral home. Other color choices may be quite obvious.
You probably would not use blues or purples to design a logo
for "Red Apple Farms, Inc". It is also good idea to
stay away more predictable color combinations that everyone has
seen or used at one time or another. Red and Blue is the best
choice of colors unless you are designing a superhero costume
or a logo for a user car dealership. With that being said, we
will try to use your preferred color choice only if it compliments,
or distracts, from your overall logo design. Also, remember "less
is more". Using one or two different colors strategically
will have much more impact than 7 or 8 colors used arbitrarily.
Another thing to keep in mind is that the more color you use,
the more expensive it will be to have your business cards printed
up if you are making use of specific colors. The best logos use
1 to 3 different colors (4 at the most). You choose the color
combination that you like the best and then we can proceed with
the final step
Step 6: Optimization
/ Delivery [ back
to top ]
When the design process has been completed and you are happy
with the end result, we will optimize your design with multiple
file formats as determined by the File Format package you chose
when ordering. We will also create files for business card and
stationary design for clients that choose the Platinum Logo Design
package. Your files will be sent via e-mail as soon as they are
ready and you should receive them almost immediately. We can
also burn a CD for your files and ship the disk to you for a
small additional fee.
